Don Papa Rum Gayuma
A SPELL IN A BOTTLE
Born on a volcanic island, Don Papa Rum has always embraced the mystical. Its latest creation, Don Papa Gayuma, dives headfirst into that elemental legacy. It’s a rum of fire and finesse, power and perfume.
‘Gayuma’ means spell or potion in Filipino. The liquid begins its journey in bourbon American oak before undergoing a double finish – first in Rioja red wine casks, then in smoky Islay whisky barrels. It’s an adventurous blend of cultures and cask types that leaves a lasting impression.
Don Papa Gayuma is a bewitching twist on Filipino rum – smoky, sultry, and unique. You can sip it neat, stir it into a Don Fashioned, or showcase it in a signature Manila Jockey Club cocktail. Presented in a beautifully illustrated bottle, it’s the kind of gift that invites curiosity – and a second pour.
A three-cask journey
Don Papa has always played with perception – sweet but serious, accessible yet complex. Gayuma dials that up with a three-cask journey that explores the balance between sweetness and smoke. It’s still very much Don Papa – tropical, citrusy, and elegant – but here with extra depth and a savoury edge.
