Wolfcraig

Wolfcraig is a brand launched in 2023 that is backed by two legendary master blenders of Scotch whisky, Richard Paterson OBE (Whyte & Mackay, notably The Dalmore) and Ian Macmillan (formerly of Burn Stewart Distillers and Bladnoch). The duo helped bottle exceptional blends, including an already award-winning 30-year-old premium blend, and also helped create a classic London dry gin. The name Wolfcraig was inspired by the story of a Celtic victory over Norse invaders. Intent on ambushing a Celtic garrison at night, one stumbling Norseman broke the silence by stepping on the paw of a sleeping wolf-cub, who awoke startled, and began to howl. This alerted the garrison to the threat and the Celts succeeded in their defence. Ever since, the wolf has been considered the "Protector of Stirling", and the battlefield known as "Wolfcraig".
