The Real Brewing Company Kombucha
Founded in 2016 by David Begg, The Real Brewing Company has made its mark with Real Kombucha. Begg, who stopped drinking alcohol, noticed a lack of fine non-alcoholic drinks to pair with food. He found kombucha, a fermented tea with usually less than 0.5% ABV. This made it ideal for the rising trend in low and no-alcohol drinks.
Kombucha dates back to 221 BC in China. It's made by brewing tea with sugar and a 'scoby.' This is a mix of bacteria and yeast. The result is a tasty drink that works well in cocktails and with food.
Real Kombucha’s Story
Begg's interest in kombucha started with a silver needle tea from India. He liked its floral, aromatic flavours. With nutrition expert Adrian Hodgson and tea expert Will Battle, Begg spent two years developing Real Kombucha. They tried over 150 tea brews. Their goal was to make non-alcoholic drinks as complex as alcoholic ones.
Smoke House
Made from smoky black tea from China's Yunnan district, this lightly sparkling kombucha is good on its own or with dark spirits, especially rum.
Royal Flush
This comes from First Flush Darjeeling, the 'Queen of Teas' in India. Picked in the first spring bloom, it has a subtle floral taste. It's refreshing alone or in a Bellini.
Dry Dragon
This is a light kombucha made with Dragonwell green tea from China's Zhejiang Province. It pairs well with Asian food and works in cocktails.
Real Kombucha’s Impact
Real Kombucha appeals to those who want sophisticated, non-alcoholic drinks. It's a real choice for non-drinkers and those who prefer a healthy lifestyle. The company focuses on complex flavours and quality ingredients. This makes their drinks as enjoyable as traditional alcoholic ones.
It's a sophisticated, non-alcoholic drink that doesn't lose taste or complexity. With different flavours, Real Kombucha is more than a drink. It's a celebration of taste for modern consumers. Whether drunk alone or in a cocktail, Real Kombucha is a great experience. It meets the need for high-quality non-alcoholic drinks.
