Tanduay Rum

Tanduay is a testament to the Philippines' rich history, culture, and spirit. Steeped in tradition, Tanduay has become an emblematic brand, capturing the essence of the islands from which it hails.

Established in 1854, Tanduay is one of the oldest rum producers in the Philippines. The brand's journey began in Hagonoy, Bulacan, before relocating to Manila, where it flourished and became intertwined with the fabric of Filipino celebrations and everyday life. Over its long history, Tanduay has witnessed and withstood wars, colonial shifts, and vast societal changes, making its legacy even more remarkable.

One of the key factors behind Tanduay's success is its unwavering commitment to quality. The rum is crafted from some of the finest sugarcane – a crop that thrives in the Philippines' tropical climate. These sugarcane plantations, nurtured by abundant sunlight and rich soils, yield a sweet and robust molasses, the foundation of Tanduay's distinctive flavour profile.

After fermentation, the rum is aged in oak barrels, which imparts additional layers of flavour, mellowness, and complexity. Some of Tanduay's rums are aged for several years, allowing for a deepening of flavours and a harmonious melding of its various components.
