Marqués de Cáceres, a distinguished Rioja wine label, was founded in 1970 by Enrique Forner. Named after an aristocratic friend, the winery has played a crucial role in revitalising Rioja wines. Based in Cenicero, La Rioja Alta, Marqués de Cáceres focuses on red wines. It makes particular use of the Tempranillo grape. They also produce wines from Garnacha and white wines from Viura, along with rosés. Their commitment is to quality, often choosing limited yields for more concentrated flavours. The range includes Crianza, aged in oak. It also has exceptional Reserva and Gran Reserva wines. These are only produced in select years for top quality.
