Today

It started as a half serious idea in a sauna and grew into a fully fledged rye focused distillery with the skill and scale to back it up. Rye was there from day one and it remains non negotiable. Every spirit Kyrö makes uses 100% Finnish wholegrain rye. It is stubborn, difficult to distil, but rewarding. Which is why Kyrö chooses it for whisky, gin, liqueurs, and beyond.

Kyrö Malt Whisky finally launched in 2019. In 2020, hand sanitiser was made at scale when it was needed most. By 2024, Kyrö was back to pushing whisky forward with the Sauna Stories finishing project, the launch of the Sauna Bar concept in Finland, and the arrival of Kyrö Vodka.

Rye is at the core. The sauna is never far away. What comes next is still warming up.
