"Talk low, talk slow, and drink great whiskey." John Wayne may well have said that. Heck, the man loved a good whiskey and even had an ambition to produce his own line of spirits. His son Ethan Wayne decided to honour his father’s dream and created a brand named after the late actor’s nickname, The Duke. Armed with an archive of notes and bottles that the late actor had stashed away, Ethan set about finding the kind of whiskeys that he loved. Duke 5 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, for example, is a straight Kentucky bourbon that takes inspiration from a 1962 recipe, from a bottle kept in John Wayne's archive.
