Deanston: organic whisky originals
Deanston: organic before it was cool
Deanston has been distilling, maturing and crafting organic whiskies since before it was ‘a thing’. The Highland distillery was the first fully certified producer of Organic single malt whisky in Scotland, having been accredited by the UK’s Organic Food Federation since April 2000.
Deanston's ongoing commitment to sustainability and its local community means using organically grown, pesticide-free malt sourced from Scottish farmers.
The malt has an organic passport and is processed at an organic maltings. The casks are sourced from the Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky, and are first de-charred and then toasted, ensuring they are organic certified and deliver enhanced extractives during maturation.
In line with the Deanston house style, each Organic release is non-chill filtered with no added colour.
