This is the snazzy 2009 vintage Gold Label Champagne from Lanson, made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, and aged for at least five years. Remarkably fresh and vibrant, it's sure to be a winner with mature cheeses – though given the shiny presentation box, it ought to make a rather eye-catching gift, too!
Fruity prune and red apple, alongside peach and a touch of shortbread.
