Introducing The Westering Home Collection from Bunnahabhain – a limited-edition series inspired by the Islay anthem that first appeared on the original 12 Year Old labels back in the 1980s. This new trilogy of releases spans three years and celebrates the spirit of journey, homecoming, and community – uniting Bunnahabhain’s global fans with the very heart of its Islay origins.
The debut release? Turas Math No. 1. Aged 15 years, this single malt marries two cask journeys: one half matured entirely in Manzanilla Sherry casks from Jerez, and the other aged 10 years in refill oak before a five-year finish in Amarone wine casks from Italy’s Veneto region.
Turas Math means ‘safe journey’ in Scots Gaelic. But it’s not just about the destination – it’s about the flavour voyage. Expect black cherries and cinnamon pastries, a warm sea breeze of spice, and one hell of a welcome home.
