Brugal Maestro Reserva
A rum made for sipping
A product of Brugal's 130 years of rum-making expertise, the Maestros Roneros' dark aromatic toasting technique extracts the natural sweetness from American oak sherry casks, while their use of only the finest Dominican rum creates a spirit that strikes a perfect balance between cask intensity and reflecting its Caribbean home.
No artificial sweetness. No shortcuts. Just great rum, blended and bottled. Take a sip and we're sure you'll agree that they've crafted something exceptional.
Brugal Maestro Reserva Rum
This well-aged expression was overseen by the fifth-generation Maestra Ronera, Jassil Villanueva and was matured in a selection of American oak sherry casks. The casks are toasted with precision, drawing natural sugars from the wooden staves to emerge and caramelise.
The casks are then refilled with the rum, allowing all that woody caramel intensity to marry with the spirit. Designed for sipping, bottled with natural colour and sweetness, this is a decadent and impressive offering from the historic producer.
Tasting Notes
Delicate vanilla and velvety caramel are enriched with accents of toasted nuts awakened by hints of smoke.

About Brugal
Brugal was founded in 1888 by Andrés Brugal Montaner, a Spanish immigrant who settled in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The company has been family-owned and operated for five generations, which is uncommon in the spirits industry.
Brugal rums are noted for their distinctive distillation process, which removes many of the heavy alcohols that other rums leave in. This results in a cleaner, smoother spirit. After distillation, the rum is aged in white American oak casks, which imparts flavour and mellows the spirit, while The Dominican Republic's tropical climate accelerates maturation to create a spirit of complexity.
Its historical legacy, unique production methods, and a wide array of products make Brugal a notable and respected name in the world of rum.
