Amphora 7 Stars is a fab Greek brandy, with botanicals and Muscat wine. The brand was created by Spyros Metaxa in 1888.

Have had Hennessy brandy and others This 7 star Greek brandy is great. Bought 4 bottles of the 7 star Greek brandy. Recommend this brandy big time.

I've tried the 5-star and now 7-star. Sure, they're not undrinkable but for what they cost you can get a number of single malts (or very close to it), a few Armagnacs and some brandies (St. Remy VSOP way cheaper and better). Maybe some people like the idea of a brandy distillate being diluted with sweet wine but I find the flavors actually conflict. At mere 40% this brandy is much too spirituous (boozy), which distracts from the flavor. I don't care about "smoothness", I prefer interesting whiskies and brandies (and other spirits) with some bite, but this one is neither smooth nor interesting. I'm sure that in cocktails or as ice melt it does about as well as any other cheap liquor meant for mixing. My experience with sipping spirits includes dozens of single malts, XO cognacs, hors d'age armagnacs, Armenian "cognacs", pisco, grappa, tequila, bourbon, rye, etc. I am not a brand or even a price snob. But I am definitely value-minded. There are cheaper bottles that taste better and many far better bottles for only a few more dollars/euros/pounds.
