The Legacy Collection from renowned Spanish brandy producer Carlos I explores the brand's history and heritage through a collection of unique and unrepeatable expressions. Carlos I uses traditional solera systems to mature its spirits and its collection includes some extremely rare old sherry casks from the mid 19th century. Made from thick, robust American oak, these antique casks originally housed special sherries, before decades ageing some of the best brandies. This expression draws spirit from the solera of one of those rare barrels, San Bartolomé (SB), bolstered with a selection of other generously aged soleras from the family reserves.
Intense, very spicy and balsamic with notes of walnut, cinnamon, vanilla, lacquered hardwood and candied orange.
Balanced and smooth on the palate, complex, tannic and with a long finish that leaves hints of dark chocolate and sandalwood.
