Ben Ellefsen

Ben Ellefsen is the co founder of Master of Malt, Atom Brands, and Maverick Drinks. His head is full of cocktail recipes, Alan Partridge quotes, and ideas for new spirits. Some of those ideas became brands such as That Boutique-y Whisky Company and Bathtub Gin. He is a committed drinks geek with broad tastes that run from wine and whisky to gin, beer, and just about anything else worth pouring. Outside the drinks world he is a keen and slightly obsessive amateur chef, a petrolhead, and an AV nerd. He still maintains that he should have been a bartender. Since 2014 Ben has been a Keeper of the Quaich, an honour recognising outstanding commitment to Scotch whisky. He is also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Distillers and a Warden Rectifier within the Gin Guild.
