What would any great cocktail be without a few dashes of Angostura bitters? These legendary bitters were created by Dr Johann Gottlieb Benjamin Siegert, who was Surgeon General in Simon Bolivar's army in Venezuela. The drink was originally created for a use as a medicine, but survives to this day due to its wonderful richness and complexity that adds a great "extra dimension" to a drink.

I could well be addicted to it. I first tasted angastora in a chapmans in Africa back in the 60s and have loved it ever since
I was suffering from chronic sobriety, added some of this to some rum and ginger beer and i was cured in no time. Lovely.
Really good for toothache
Had really bad indigestion which was burning my esphogus, bought some bitters put a few drops in water, couldn’t believe it after suffering for 4 days and nights it took it away my pain
I couldn't believe it either. I took a tablespoon of this, and my hiccups went away. I thought it was all marketing - no legs. Boy was I wrong.
