From Alexander Stein, creator of German gin brand Monkey 47, comes the new Marquis de Montesquiou and with it a fresh range of VS, VSOP, and XO Armagnac. The VSOP is a blend of eau-de-vie made in Bas-Armagnac and Ténarèze, the youngest in there being four years, with the average around six years old.
On the nose, the delicate, spicy aromas of apricot, caramel, vanilla, orange peel, cinnamon, and caramelised fruits are harmoniously expressed.
The light amber colour is followed by a very smooth and rich texture that coats the mouth, resulting in a full-bodied, fresh and fruity taste with a slight hint of ginger.
