The 40 year old Bas-Armagnac from the Darroze 'Les Grands Assemblages' range, which spans decades and decades. At 40 years old, the oak ageing has had quite an effect on the eaux-de-vie, with lashings of rich, woody notes alongside plenty of rancio.

With an age statement like that you're going to get a lot of oak tannins and barrel spice. It's definitely not the easiest sipper but it is one to be savoured, I would actually recommend this to someone who like bourbon as it offers you that floral sweetness and oak. I would recommend this especially for the price
