Aalborg Taffel is a classic Aquavit, released in 1846. It has a lovely caraway, citrus flavour, and was heralded as Best Aquavit in the World at the 2002 International Wine and Spirit Competition.

family favourite, i remember my grandfathers allday 60th birthday celebration in Odense, each of the 7 courses was interspersed with a round of akvavit.
Known to most adult danes (over 30) as ´Red Aalborg´and you dont have to eat Herring with this... try gorgonzola on bread with an egg yolk, shrimp with mayo and lemon. One thing that always suits a glas of ´red Aalborg´is cold beer :-) By the way, serve it from the fridge - Not the freezer.
