A premium Swiss absinthe verte developed at the Matter-Luginbühl distillery, Enigma Verte Suisse Absinthe was created using an array of carefully selected plants including Artemisia absinthium, green anise, fennel, lemongrass, hyssop, sandalwood and mint.
The natural emerald green colour was attained through soaking a mixture of plants in the distillate. The colour will turn an opalescent milky white with the addition of water.
Enigma Verte Suisse Absinthe picked up a silver medal at International Wine & Spirit Competition in London in 2012.
A hint of spice adds depth to syrupy, sweet anise and fresh, herbaceous mint.
