That Boutique-y Whisky Company US Series Release
That Boutique-y Whisky Company is an award-winning independent whisky bottler of distilleries from around the world, and maker of blends. They don’t select just any old whisky (sometimes it is very old), often it’s a once in a lifetime tipple from some of the world’s greatest distilleries. There’s a lot of things that make a Boutique-y liquid, a boutique-y liquid - a lot of the spirits are unusual, unique and small batch, but for them, the most important thing is that they are all bloody delicious!
The US series release is no different, with ten whiskeys, five scotches, five rums and five brandies, each has been hand selected by our incredible team and bottled here in the UK.
Why are the team focusing on the US? Because they make mouth-wateringly delicious whisky, of course! Oh, and the facts that according to the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States, the volume of American whisky production increased by 5.1% in 2019 compared to the previous year (Source: Distilled Spirits Council of the United States) and the value of American whisky production was estimated to be over $4.9 billion in 2020, an increase of 5.7% from the previous year (Source: IWSR).
Sam Simmons, Head of Whisky at Atom Brands, also adds;
“When you look at these whiskies, it's clear that the American whiskey story is only in its early chapters and is still being written. These distillers are flag bearers for styles long lost along the Monongahela and lobbyists for the soon-to-be-ratified American Single Malt official designation. These are simultaneously traditional and pioneering whiskies.
There are so many long-established names in American whisky, dozens of household names produced at just a handfull of distilleries, but most of the world has not been exposed to all American whiskey is in the 21st century.
We are a proud partner to distilleries at the forefront of the evolution of American Whiskey who we believe are both paving the way for the American Single Malt category (soon to be a official designation... finally) and acting as flag-bearers for the original rye whisky styles of the American Northeast.
The liquid in these bottles all taste incredible, but in true American spirit it's more than a delicious drink, there's a greater purpose.”

Dad’s Hat, a Pennsylvania based rye whiskey distillery, are attempting to revive the reputation of Pennsylvania Rye by creating a small batch whiskey with a focus on quality and flavour.
The distillery, founded in 2011, creates an ‘old-school’ Pennsylvania style Rye - 80% grain, 20% malt (15% barley, 5% rye malt), no corn, and a sweet mash recipe. They use local farms for their grains, temperature controlled fermenters, doing a five-seven day low and slow ferments to develop a complex flavour.

P: Silky mouthfeel. Fruity and spicy with sour cherries, and cranberries. Woody spices; clove, a hint of cinnamon, and charred oak
F: Medium length, and full of chocolate.

Oh, and let us not forget Boutique-y Rum!
Boutique-y Pete has chosen five world class rums for this release. We are not tied in specifically with the US of A, and that’s not to say that American Rum isn’t a thing - it is. But this selection is more portfolio driven.
