Project 173 Flavour Competition

Project #173 announces a way to make the rum flavour of your dreams come true.

The team behind Project #173 are always pushing the boat out when it comes to pairing rum with all manner of deliciousness, and now they are inviting you to join their ranks to create something that has never been tasted before!

“We wanted to work with the on trade to find out where they think the bar bar flavour gaps are; maybe you want to update a serve with a flavour that you had on your travels, or maybe you keep imagining resurrecting a nostalgic flavour to take you right back to where your spirits journey began!

We want to encourage creativity and give those who work with spirits the chance to actually join the process of creation, firsthand.” explains Hannah Burden-Trent, brand manager of 173.

Project 173 launched in 2020 and currently has 18 flavour variations, including Smoked Chilli, Black Cherry, Pumpkin Spiced and Candy Floss. The brand’s name derives from the boiling point of alcohol which is 173.1 degrees fahrenheit, hence the name of the Project #173 rum.

The competition opens on Thursday the 16th 2023 and closes on the 16th of April 2023. Winners will not only get to create their own flavour, but also win a case for themselves and a year's supply for their bar, as well as the rum being sold on Master of Malt.
