Insider knowledge: North British 17 Year Old 1991 - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be North British 17 Year Old 1991 - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Woody, grainy and grassy. Some raisins, hints of date, damp hay.
Palate: Medium bodied, iced lattes, dark fruit, hints of spice.
Finish: Longish, fruity, a touch of espresso.
i'm not much of a connoisseur of whiskey, but drink fine wine, eat fine food, smoke fine cigars, etc.
This was a recommendation and i thought it absolutely stunning. Deep, complex, warm, spicy, long...will that do?
