What's in a name? North British 17 Year Old 1991 - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled North British 17 Year Old 1991 - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Woody, grainy and grassy. Some raisins, hints of date, damp hay.
Palate: Medium bodied, iced lattes, dark fruit, hints of spice.
Finish: Longish, fruity, a touch of espresso.
i'm not much of a connoisseur of whiskey, but drink fine wine, eat fine food, smoke fine cigars, etc.
This was a recommendation and i thought it absolutely stunning. Deep, complex, warm, spicy, long...will that do?
