Insider knowledge: Yoichi 1991 Single Cask (Nikka) whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Japan. If distilled in America the spelling would be Yoichi 1991 Single Cask (Nikka) whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
The nose has lots of wood as well as demerara sugar, cardemom and raisins. Rather complex and in the palate(w.w.) we find, more or less, the same but with more fruits like oranges, apples and apricots; beautiful whisky, highly recommended!
