Nose: Very malty, spicy nose, with big notes of dried fruit, especially dates, figs and sultanas. A touch of nutmeg, cinnamon and black pepper heat, with a suggestion of smoke.
Palate: Big and bold, with plenty of sweetness, and a curious, oily peat which builds to a crescendo atop chili, toffee apples and malt.
Finish: Decent length, with vanilla sweetness and Christmas spices. Toffee again, with spicy oak and smoke.
