Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Glenury Royal 36 Year Old 1970 whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Glenury Royal 36 Year Old 1970 whiskey, rather than whisky.

Glenury Royal 36 Bottling Note

A 36 year old bottling from Glenury Royal, distilled in 1970 and bottled at cask strength.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is delightfully musty with wood shavings and barley. The tannins are soft and subdued and the oak reveals a beautiful vanilla spice. The palate is full of rum and bourbon notes. Dark sugar and buttery fudge; creamy spices and vanilla. The spices are intense with a juicy barley and balanced viscosity. The finish is long and buttery with fudge and barley and soft oaken warmth.
