Port Finish
This Edradour (one of Scotland's smallest distilleries) was distilled in the year 2000 and bottled 12 years later after being finished in a cask which previously held port.
Red wine gums with a malty backbone on the nose leading to red berry fruits notably red currant on the palate with a syrupy mouth-feel. The finish is moderate with a hint of spice.

In all honesty this is not a very good whisky, I suspect the cask selection was not first class. Coupled with the fact that it is only 50cl instead of the normal 70cl then it is very poor value. On the upside however the wooden cases it comes in makes an excellent bird box!
