Some delicious single cask Dalmore! This was distilled on the 11th September 1990 and matured for 18 years in sherry butt number 9413. Bottled at cask strength on the 22nd October 2008 by Signatory, a release of just 621 bottles.
Jamaica ginger cake, bitters, a light touch of tangy sherry.
Gloriously fruity and rich. We’re getting stewed fruits with more of that ginger, curry spices, pears poached in syrup, a hint of dried chili.
Sweet cooked pear notes linger. Creamy and medium length.
Too hearty on the alcohol to replace the Dalmore 18, but a worthwhile endeavor to combat chill filtering and caramel coloring.
