Nose: Earth, undergrowth and peaty. Buttery Sweet with some meaty notes, followed by Tarmac.
Palate: Smoother than the nose suggests but still quite heavily peated. The sweetness is almost floral. Very nice.
Finish: Butter and oil with light brown sugar.
Overall: An intriguing structure to this Caol Ila; very good.
