Distilled in 1979, this is a rich, cask-strength Speyside whisky from Berry's Own Selection - a prestigious range from top wine merchants Berry Brothers and Rudd. It's a single cask Balmenach which was bottled in 2009.
Rich, balanced nose with fresh fruit and toasted oak. A little potpourri, hints of smoke, chocolate-coated Brazil nuts.
Thick with fruitcake, allspice and brandy butter. Toffee apples, cassia and a hint of smoke.
Winter spices and sherried peels. Faint hints of smoke on the tail.
Beautifully balanced with a lovely smoky character.
