This comes from Gordon and MacPhail's famous Connoisseurs Choice range, now at the higher bottling strength of 46%abv. It was distilled at the Balmenach distillery in 2004, and was matured in sherry casks before bottling in 2012.
Gentle, malty nose. Hints of dried grass, allspice, a little boiled sweet note.
Fruity palate with dried banana chips and hints of dried mint leaves. Buttery toffee, spice and biscuity malt at the core.
Long finish with notes of salt butter and caramel.
