What's in a name? Auchroisk 22 Year Old 1990 (cask 3658) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Auchroisk 22 Year Old 1990 (cask 3658) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Rich notes of dried herbs, dried strawberries. A little oak, barley and hints of creamy caramel.
Palate: Vanilla, nougat and berry fruits. Dried grass and pepper. Hints of mint and allspice.
Finish: Herbal, rich finish.
The smell, the taste, the finish are all full of flavour and fire. This malt has that fine balance of strength and smoothness, and the creamy vanilla tones are complimented with a warm honey finish. Absolutely superb!
