Description

This was distilled at the Auchroisk distillery on the 20th February 1990. It was aged for 22 years in a single hogshead (number 3658) before bottling for Signatory in late 2012. A release of 229 bottles.

Nose

Rich notes of dried herbs, dried strawberries. A little oak, barley and hints of creamy caramel.

Palate

Vanilla, nougat and berry fruits. Dried grass and pepper. Hints of mint and allspice.

Finish

Herbal, rich finish.

Wow wow wow

The smell, the taste, the finish are all full of flavour and fire. This malt has that fine balance of strength and smoothness, and the creamy vanilla tones are complimented with a warm honey finish. Absolutely superb!
