Whisky or Whiskey

Insider knowledge: Aberfeldy 1989 - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Aberfeldy 1989 - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whiskey, as opposed to whisky.

Aberfeldy 1989 Bottling Note

This 1989 bottling of the Highland favourite, Aberfeldy, was launched to replace the previous 1988 vintage in Gordon and MacPhail's renowned Connoisseur's Choice range.

Aberfeldy 1989 Tasting Note

Nose: Very rich and multilayered on the nose. The barley is smooth and sumptuous, semi-dried mixed fruit and honey sweetness.
Palate: A juicy sweetness, lots of clear honey and a gentle spice.
Finish: Good length. Smooth and graceful, more vanilla weaving its way through a dark fruitiness.

Pale Gold colour - subtle deep nose fruit toffee. Slight apple fruit barley start then medium finish of vanilla and barley malt. Subtle & elegant!
