Blended malts proffer the advantage of having the attributes of numerous single malts, combined. A blended malt is essentially a blend of single malt whiskies. No grain whisky can be added. Blended malts are sometimes referred to as ‘pure malts’ though the term has generated much controversy for it is deemed to be misleading.
