The Lowland whiskies are amongst Scotland's gentlest. Often dubbed the "Lowland Ladies", these whiskies are almost always peatless, and are usually triple distilled. They are perfumed, light and floral, and notable examples are the stunning whiskies of Auchentoshan, Glenkinchie and Bladnoch, as well as the now legendary closed distilleries St Magdalene and Rosebank amongst others.
