An interesting region, Campbeltown used to be Scotland's most prolific, but after Prohibition cut down on export, and there were various recessions, the region became host to juse a handful of distilleries including Springbank, Glen Scotia and Mitchell's Glengyle. These whiskies are linked by a hint of smoke and a strong coastal element.
