A wonderfully unique Caol Ila, this was distilled in 1991 and initially aged in bourbon barrels. Jim McEwan, Bruichladdich Master Distiller, selected the cask and then transferred the whisky into Quarts de Chaume Chenin Blanc casks, and finally Château d'Yquem premier cru Sauternes casks. This was bottled at the Bruichladdich distillery in 2009, where it was reduced to bottling strength with Islay spring water. A release of 617 bottles.  More info
