Here we have Suntory’s multi award-winning Japanese single malt from Yamazaki, the oldest whisky distillery in Japan. The single malt was launched in 1992, and around 80% of the liquid is matured in sherry butts, while the remaining whisky spent its years in American and Mizunara oak casks. An absolutely stunning marriage of fruit, oak and smoky notes, it’s really no wonder why it won so many awards!
Truffles, thick bitter marmalade and resin. Potpourri and heavy Oloroso sherry.
A rich, bittersweet palate with heather roots, cigar leaves, honey, toffee apples, plum wine and black pepper. A touch of rancio, perhaps…
Long, fruity, marmalade-led finish.

so smooth and complex, brilliant
This has to be my favourite. Absolutely fun to the nose, and pleasant on the taste as well. Would definitely recommend this.
goin on
I'm new to Japanese whiskies but this was fantastic, easily my current favorite. My first bottle is almost done and there are 2 on standby. So good it's the type of dram you want a case of just in case they stop making it. Full of flavor, complexity and will probably please most serious Scotch drinkers.
I only had a dram of this remarkable whiskey, but simply put it is unique, the nose on this will make you feel very excited the japanese have nailed this craft the obsession with their whiskey has begun
