    Single Malt

    Yamazaki 18 Year Old

Here we have Suntory’s multi award-winning Japanese single malt from Yamazaki, the oldest whisky distillery in Japan. The single malt was launched in 1992, and around 80% of the liquid is matured in sherry butts, while the remaining whisky spent its years in American and Mizunara oak casks. An absolutely stunning marriage of fruit, oak and smoky notes, it’s really no wonder why it won so many awards!

*UK (excluding Channel Islands) and retail only. Offer from 01 08 2025, while stock lasts.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Truffles, thick bitter marmalade and resin. Potpourri and heavy Oloroso sherry.

    Palate

A rich, bittersweet palate with heather roots, cigar leaves, honey, toffee apples, plum wine and black pepper. A touch of rancio, perhaps…

    Finish

    Long, fruity, marmalade-led finish.

    Decent, but not remarkabke

Good. But just that. Not amazing. I've had better whiskies under $200.

    AMAZING !!!!

Best whisky under $400 I've had. I paid way too much for this. At $215 I still say its very worth it. You cant buy this stuff for $215 anywhere though. Its got a hugh great Almond Vanilla and Caramel nose and Marshmellow and citrus peel mid-palate and solid finish. I will buy a second bottle as soon as its available.

    Priviledged to own a bottle

Rum and raisin and something else lighter than that. Soft mouth feel. Utterly delicious and stimulating - lovely long finish.
