Williamson
Chapter 7
1 Jan 2010

A Chapter 7 bottling of Williamson blended malt, released as part of the Monologue series. Those of you with knowledge of teaspooned malts (whiskies which are almost entirely from one distillery, along with a "teaspoon" of whisky from another, meaning it's no longer a single malt) might know what this whisky is all about. Just 235 bottles were released.
Roasted apples and pear, followed by a plume of oaky smoke.
Salty sea air, grilled lemons, slightly nutty at points.
Lasting salinity with a touch of seaweed and brown sugar.

Oily stewed apples, coastal, salty peat. Mustard, char and a long peppery finish. Yummy stuff!
The ADRattray Williamson earlier this summer was stronger and a sherry cask and half the price. The Carn Mor Williamson earlier this month was also a sherry cask and a little over half the price. This is only a bourbon cask at a ridiculous premium.
