A fabulous rye whiskey from the Wild Turkey brand - this is a top-quality choice for use in cocktails, but also tasted mighty fine splashed over a couple of ice cubes. Try it in a Manhattan or and Old Fashioned.
This is the 81 proof (otherwise known as 40.5% ABV).
Disappointing. The nose is in vegetal style of Irish whiskies, with some astringent aroma, in the mouth you could feel only some lightly hazelnutty oak. Finish is the nicest part-oily, pleasant with an opulent soft butter ending. What it lacks is maybe some more dried fruit notes and an overall complexity in the nose and taste. Go for JD Rye-for the same price it has 45% and lovely menthol notes in the nose as well as the taste.
Inoffensive, nothing special.

I bought this in order to use in my current addiction - Manhattans. It did the job. Wasn't best but certainly wasn't the worst by far. For the price was a good choice. In itself it was drinkable but I wouldn't buy it for that. Great in cocktails basically.
