A classic blend made up of 41 different whiskies. Whyte and Mackay special is a great mixer.
Ok, I'm a Sassenach, but I know what I like, and I like this one. But... I tried all the affordable supermarket blends back 10 yrs ago, and my taste went to those that had a bitter bite, which were, this, and Grant's Triple Wood, either with highland spring water or Pepsi full-fat (gone now). But, I think W&MK had their head blender retire, a few years ago? Anyway, their blend dipped, was clearly less sharp, and a lot softer, at that point. I think it is coming back now, to equal Grant's again?
Excellent, I can see why it got gold! I have tried all the blends and I like this one best! I was surprised they also make Tamnavulin(I don’t know if I spelled it correctly!) it’s also a great whiskey that’s at a great price!!! Well done!
I have brought this a few times now a nice triple distilled whiskey smooth actually tastes good. Give it try.
I only used to drink Mckays when it was given to me. Then I turned into a Whisky Mac to make it drinkable. It's definitely improved. I wouldn't drink it neat. Cut 50:50 with water, it is better than Grouse. I prefer Grants, but give credit where it's due. Keep at it and you will have a good blend.
I had a bottle bought for me,I had been putting off opening it to be openly honest, but there you go,I was very surprised by the quality & taste, I'm also loving the tamnavulin double cask by whyte & mackay aswell, quality
