Blended
Scotland
Whisky Souls
Sherry

This rad blend from indie bottler Living Souls came about as the result of what its team describes as a happy accident! A very small amount of three-year-old grain was blended with an 18-year-old heavily peated single malt from a well-known island distillery. The malt initially aged for 16 years in refill bourbon barrels and hogsheads, then finished for two years in sherry casks. The breakdown of this blend? 99% 18-year-old peated malt and 1% three-year-old grain, hence the name 99&1.
Coastal brine and smoke, waves of tobacco and creosote, with zesty citrus in tow.
A medley of spice, with layers of anise and flamed orange, cinnamon, and white pepper heat, with peat smoke and seaweed riding throughout.
Salted lemons linger with ginger and chilli flake warmth.
