One of two mid-2019 releases from the Wemyss Family Collection, Blooming Gorse is a blended malt with an enjoyably floral flavour profile, balanced by helpings of malty richness. Built from a combination of malt whiskies from two Highland distilleries, Blooming Gorse should be a great dram for a warm evening. Also, the name sounds like someone trying not to swear in the company of a particularly uptight grandparent, which is very fun.
Heather, milky tea, floral honey and chocolate muffins.
Still floral, with hints of citrus blossom and vanilla. Slowly building notes of earthy barley leading to subtly peppery heat.
Hints of apricot and walnut.

*CORRECTION: It's a 3-star rating out of 5 for this Blooming Gorse Scotch Blend from Weymss (NOT 5/5 in error as on my previous comment).
It depends on individual tastes and expectations, but this is a fairly decent offering from Wemyss. I would have liked to know which two Highland distilleries' produce were used in this Weymss blend.
