A non-age-statement addition to the Lord Elcho brand of blended Scotch whiskies from independent bottler extraordinaries, Wemyss. The name comes from the 5th Earl of Wemyss, who was stripped of his title for his involvement in the Battle of Culloden and was exiled to France.
Fresh, juicy grapes and green apples with a drizzling of honey. Slightly herbal hints of oak.
Sweet caramel and more fruits, followed by spicy malt and ginger. A subtle nuttiness.
Surprisingly long with spiciness continuing on and on.
Well crafted by Wemyss, quite impressed with this.

This is lovely. Really light, quiet fruity and biscuity. Well worth less than 30 quid. This bottle didn't last long.
