
The Waterford Distillery's Single Farm Origin series grows once again with the 1.1 expression of single malt Irish whisky made with barley from Lakefield Farm in Co. Laois. The range explores the terroir of barley, and how it can impact the flavour of a whisky, which is a big undertaking, and it has produced some fascinating expressions.
Walnuts and pecans, with buttery biscuits and a hint of zesty citrus and crisp melon.
Still nutty, now with brown bread and Sesame Snaps mixed in. A slow build of chocolatey notes appear later on.
