
The Virginia Distillery Co. uses 100% North American barley and a two-strain proprietary yeast mixture (one for yield, one for flavour), generously fermented for 72 hours to produce all of its American single malt whiskies. This edition began its maturation with several years in first-fill bourbon barrels, followed by a stay in a variety of cabernet wine casks, including premium cabernet sauvignon barrels from France and California for a bold, rich profile, laden with vinous fruits and oak char.
Aromas of black cherry, cedar, apricot, and soft smoke meet flavours of blackberry, plum, candied ginger, and rich chocolate.
