A 2015 addition to the Finlaggan range, named Eilean Mor (those of you that know about Islay's geography will be familiar with that name). This expression has been bottled at a slightly higher strength than other Finlaggan release (not including the Cask Strength, of course). The whisky comes from an undisclosed distillery on Islay - it's a closely guarded secret as to which one...
Salty sea breeze and a touch of TCP.
Well-peated and rather intense. Spicy hints of black pepper.
A long finish of drying peat smoke.
Very nice whisky for a very good price. Not quite popular as Old Reserve of this brand, which is a good thing (few review, few people buy it - good for me). Opens nicely with a teaspoon of water, can be compared to Laphroaig 10 then. Perfect balance of quality and price. Original Peaty is too watery, this has nice pepper and salt notes with a hint of fruits as a background of heavy peat and smoke. Ledaig 10 is more balanced, sure, as well as Port Charlotte, but this is priced below Talisker 10 and to my opinion, it’s much much nicer (with that hint of water)
Delicious wildly smoky feel. Love it.

Excellent balance of peat an sweetness. Reminds me of Caol Ila 12. Hihgly recommended.
