An intriguing blended malt here from The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. and its Cooper's Choice range. It's a teaspooned malt, meaning it's mostly from one distillery, with a "teaspoon" of whisky from another distillery - which means they can't use the distillery's name. What we do know is that it was a Speyside distillery, and the whisky was aged in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask for 19 years, before being bottled with an outturn of 330 bottles.
Sherried peels, cinnamon and a good drop of coffee.
Dried fruit dominates the palate, with festive spices bringing some heat.
Christmas cake, damson, mature oak and just a smidge of perfumed malt.
