Tyrconnell Irish Whiskey has had a redesign, complete with a stylish new label and a bumped-up ABV of 43% (compared to the original's 40%). It remains a satisfying Irish single malt whiskey, packed to the brim with vanilla and honey notes.

SMOOTH AS SILK
Always a pleasurable drink, soft on the pallet from start to finish.
A smooth, yet rich flavour of vanilla that lingers with no after burn.
For those who think all whiskey burns the throat, you need to try these smooth Irish Whiskeys and you'll never stray far from a good Irish.

Well worth trying
Fruity and light ...really uplifting on the nose , tastes so sweet, that extra abv is a bonus, nice warmth on the finish , slight floral notes ...typically irish but incredibly elegant

Fruity, honey, vanilla. Layers of sweetness. Well rounded, very pretty!
Before this, the only Irish Whiskeys I’ve tried were Jameson, and Bushmills 10 year Malt. Having enjoyed the Bushmills Single Malt, I got this without reading reviews. It’s been one hell of a pleasant surprise.
Nose: Fresh cut apple slices floating atop a creamy honey oat cereal, with a dash of vanilla.
Palate: instead of the burst of apple I was expecting, it’s milder, with a more pronounced honey and vanilla sweetness, that’s almost like frosted honey oat cereal sweet, without being too sugary. Follows up with with a very slight pepper spice. Absolutely no ethanol flavours to be found.
VERY pretty.

Not your normal Irish. In a good way.
I don't do reviews because my taste buds are not yours, and I don't want to spend 5 hours with the English Dictionary coming up with superlatives to become a member of "that" club. But I thought I would take the time and effort to do one for this, because it's worth it.
I purchased this for my mate who loves Irish whiskey, so far I haven't really been bowled over, till this. My 1st smell of it was hedgerow. Floral, light with not hint of any industrial cleaning agents. And then the taste. Shut your eyes and remember honey on toast. It's not sweet at all and there isn't a single punchy flavour, but it coats your mouth, and you find yourself sucking your tongue for more. But for £30, shut up and take my money because I paid far more for a lot worse.
