A single malt Irish whiskey from the Cooley distillery, Tyrconnell is incredibly creamy and smooth.
Sweet and crisp with orchard fruits and a malty character. Oaked dryness and an oily note.
Full and sweet with barley malt and hot buttered granary toast with honey.
Dry and grassy with a little spice.

Tastes like honey and citrus. A light but excellent Irish for all who like them more than Scotch, so do I.
Simply a nice smelling and tasting light single malt whiskey. It all has the characteristics of a light Speyside whisky. Fruity, floral, honey, vanilla, cream and caramel. This reminds me of Cragganmore 12 but lighter in flavor and texture. This is the perfect whiskey for beginners because it is very smooth and inoffensive. It is almost like water smooth. Truly amazing for a young whiskey. For an experienced drinker like me, i enjoyed it a lot and a good change from drinking Highland, Speyside and Islay/Island Scotch whiskies.
The best Irish whiskey I had so far better than black bush
I found this to be a boringly unremarkable dram. I tried nosing and tasting immediately after the pour. I tried nosing and tasting after waits of 5, 10, 15, and 30 minutes. I tried it neat, with a few drops of water, with a half-teaspoon, with a goodly splash, even 50-50. I tried it on a little ice, I tried it on a lot of ice. I cannot point to anything bad about it but there is just no "there" there. It did not offend, it did not bite. It just went down the hatch, not particularly smooth, not particularly rough. Perhaps I simply do not possess the nose and palate required to appreciate this stuff. For me, it gets one star. I will not be buying another bottle.
Usually tipple Jamesons. Tyrconnel was/is a delightful extension to my Irish tasting
